I am pleased to share that I have been officially appointed by the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario as a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits.

I can now provide additional support to my immigration clients when sworn documents are required as part of their immigration or citizenship applications.

Through this appointment, I can assist clients with:
✅ Taking affidavits related to Canadian immigration matters
✅ Administering oaths and affirmations for immigration-related documents
✅ Taking statutory declarations and sworn statements where required
✅ Ensuring documents are properly executed in accordance with Ontario requirements

Immigration applications often involve complex personal histories, family circumstances, and supporting evidence. Properly prepared and executed affidavits can help applicants present facts clearly and provide additional context when appropriate.

As a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits, my role is to administer the oath or affirmation and complete the commissioning process. The commissioner does not verify the truthfulness of the contents of an affidavit. That responsibility stays with the person swearing it.

I am grateful for this additional professional responsibility and look forward to continuing to provide comprehensive immigration support to individuals and families navigating their Canadian immigration journeys.
